Oportet enim hominem quaerere potentiae intellectualis perfectionem, quia haec perfectio non est aliud quam vivere in propria natura. The
perfection of man's intellectual powers is no other
than living according to his proper nature. Latin and
the philosophical and theological sciences are most
useful towards cultivating man's intellectual capacity.
However convenient and useful, they are not not necessary,
as such, for salvation. But if these are present as
well two goods subsist together, certainly not in contradiction.
